Feeling blessed after a long, hard weekend of late-night shifts driving artists at @medicinefestival.
Conditions were tough: heatwave, soil erosion and dust, water shortages, fire risk, and into the night shifts. In the evenings it felt like Burning Man – all dust, lights and gorgeous people.
I met so many conscious people trying to help others, and I also witnessed the vulnerability of people searching for healing. Healing shouldn’t be just for the rich. It shouldn’t be monetised. In ancient traditions, an energetic trade of what a person can give would’ve been enough.
I’m grateful that this festival exists, though – it gives me hope for a brighter future. But it’s a future we need to step into carefully, navigating with integrity and discernment.
We are perfectly imperfect, like nature herself. Yes, we may have dissonance in our fields from living this unnatural life of capitalism. Yes, this may manifest as a physical ailment. And yes, we probably need others to help illuminate what that problem is or how to work with it. But ultimately, we already know; we have everything we need inside ourselves – we just don’t always know how to access it.
I’m also grateful for these gatherings and festivals in the fields. That’s where my tribe dwell: the people committed to bringing others together to raise vibrations. You never know who you might see, but I feel blessed to have spent some quality time with a few of my favourite faces. The highlight for me was squatting a tent and making a psytrance party when everyone else went to bed. #shortbutsweet #healthiswealth
