Wild foraged mushrooms are used where possible as I believe this is the strongest medicine available as we get the medicine from the tree as well as the mushroom. Sustainability and purity are at the source of intention when foraging. We cover The New Forest area, Hampshire and Dorset.
Areas are never picked unless there is permission from the landowner and a rule of never taking more than 10% of a patch. It is important to be mindful and conscious when harvesting, ensuring we are leaving plenty for the local ecosystem. We give thanks and try to make offerings so the energy exchange is harmonious and equal. It is important to have the highest energy exchange when making medicines for the highest quality physically and vibrationally. We aim to plant as many trees as possible each winter and feed the soil where we can as our day job is that of Earth Steward.
Where the species are rare or unavailable, like Lions Mane or Reishi I choose to use high quality cultivated mushrooms. Cultivated with love, gratitude, care and attention.
Tinctures are made biodynamically with the moon cycles and are fermented for 4-6weeks. They are double and sometimes triple extracted using cold, freezing and hot water and then mixed with a 40% alcohol extraction. Usually this blend will be 75% alcohol extraction and 25% distilled water extraction.
